Each workshop listed below contains a description of the class and any prerequisites required for enrollment. Click the Register button located in each description to register for a session.

Contact the UAConnect Training Team to request training be scheduled.

UAConnect training is held in Uptown Campus East room 280 (UPTE 280).  Each session requires that you have UAConnect access.


UAConnect: Introduction for Administrative Users

The UAConnect: Introduction for Administrative Users workshop is designed to help the administrative user understand and use UAConnect.

This session covers:

  • Navigation
  • Search Basics
  • Data Entry basics
  • Favorites

In addition, an overview of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and password management is covered.

Prerequisites
This workshop is limited to employees who have UAConnect access.

UAConnect for Faculty and Advisors

The UAConnect for Faculty and Advisors workshop is designed for faculty, instructors, and advisors who are new to UAConnect or would like a refresher. This session provides a working overview of Faculty Center, Advisor Center, and FERPA.

The Faculty Center overview covers:

  • Teaching Schedule Overview
  • Final Exam Overview
  • Class Rosters
  • Photo Rosters
  • Grade Rosters

The Advisor Center overview covers:

  • My Advisees
  • Advisee Student Center
  • Advisee General Information
  • Advisee Transfer Credit
  • Advisee Academics

Prerequisites
This workshop is limited to users who have security and access to Faculty Center and Advisor Center.

Viewing Student Records

The Viewing Student Records workshop is designed for new and veteran UAConnect users who need to retrieve student record information. An overview of the student records data structure in UAConnect is also included.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Search for personal information data
  • View enrollment and student program/plan information
  • Review of FERPA

This workshop is limited to employees who have security and access to view student records.

Basic Query Manager

This Basic Query Manager workshop is designed for administrative users of the UAConnect reporting tool.

The hands-on training session includes:

  • A review of the query options available in Query Manager.
  • An overview of running established query reports in UAConnect.

Participants will learn to:

  • Create and run basic queries using prompts, edits, and joins.

Prerequisites
This workshop is limited to administrative users who have been granted query security prior to the session.

Schedule of Classes Management

The Schedule of Classes Management workshop is designed for new and veteran UAConnect users who are responsible for entering data in the UAConnect Schedule of Classes.

Participants will learn:

  • How to set up individual class sections in UAConnect
  • How to give special attention to scheduling
  • Tips and common pitfalls

Prerequisites
This workshop requires each participant use his or her UAConnect login information. Participants must also have UAConnect security in place prior to the start of this workshop.

25Live Pro Overview

The 25Live Pro Overview workshop provides an overview of the new 25Live Pro software used for scheduling special events.

Participants will learn how to navigate 25Live Pro, view events, schedule events, assign space to events, and modify those events.

Prerequisites:
This workshop requires each participant to have 25Live Pro access as well as UAConnect access.
