Financial Aid - To Do List
Financial Aid has several sequenced steps to apply for, award and accept aid, and to exit the university. Most of these steps are done entirely outside of UAConnect, but instructions are available from your Student homepage.
Apply for Financial Aid
To apply for any federal loans, grants and/or work study, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov. The FAFSA for the next academic year is available after October 1. The FAFSA must be completed every year to determine eligibility and award amounts.
Once the FAFSA has been completed, further action may be required, such as submitting supplemental information or accepting loans. Any required actions will be displayed in the To Do list from the Notifications tile on the Student homepage.
- Click the Notifications tile from the Student homepage.
- Click To Do's. A list of outstanding action items is displayed.
- Click the arrow to display instructions for the action item.
Note: There may be several tasks listed within the To Do list. All tasks have detailed instructions to expedite completion. If you have any questions, contact the Office of Financial Aid. - When all To Do items have been completed, Financial Aid can continue the processing of awards for
disbursement to your student account.
